At Applegate Home Buyers, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to support Musana Community Development Organization, an inspiring charity dedicated to transforming lives in Uganda. Many of our employees, partners, and clients participated in their recent fundraising event that raised a total of $151,000.

About the Musana Community Development Organization
Education
One of Musana’s core initiatives is education. They believe that education is the cornerstone of development and a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. Musana operates schools that provide high-quality, affordable education to children in Uganda, fostering a love for learning and helping students reach their full potential. With the funds raised, Musana will be able to expand their educational programs, build new classrooms, and provide scholarships to deserving students.
Healthcare
Access to healthcare is another critical area of focus for Musana. They run health centers that offer essential medical services, maternal care, and health education to underserved communities. By addressing the health needs of the population, Musana ensures that individuals are healthy and able to contribute productively to their communities. Contributions will help improve healthcare facilities, purchase medical supplies, and support outreach programs that educate communities about preventive health practices.
Economic Development
Musana is committed to economic development through job creation and vocational training. They run various social enterprises, including agricultural projects and craft production, which provide employment opportunities and generate income for local families. These initiatives empower individuals to become financially independent and support the local economy. The funds raised will be used to expand these enterprises, provide training programs, and create more job opportunities in the community.
